SB127 Passes House Judiciary in Wee Hours Vote;
House Floor Vote is TODAY!
Senate Bill 127, the Animal Indemnity bill sponsored by Senator Peter Wirth, passed the House Judiciary Committee in a 12:30 a.m. vote of 12 to 1 on Friday.
SB127 goes next to the House floor for a vote TODAY. Animal advocates are urged to contact their state representatives to ask for their votes in favor of SB127, the Animal Indemnity bill.

Animal Cruelty Bill Passes Senate Conservation
Sponsored by Rep. Al Park, House Bill 159, the Animal Cruelty bill, passed the Senate Conservation Committee with a 4 to 1 vote on Tuesday.
HB159 will be heard next in the Senate Judiciary Committee, possibly TODAY! If your senator is on this committee, please call TODAY to ask for a vote in favor of HB159 (the legislature IS in session on Saturday). S/N License Plate Bill Passes Senate Unanimously

Sponsored by Senator Mary Jane García, Senate Bill 185, the Spay/Neuter License Plate bill, was withdrawn from the Senate Finance Committee on Thursday because there is no appropriation in the bill.
SB185 was then passed unanimously on the Senate floor on Friday! It will next go to the House Transportation and Public Works Committee and the Taxation and Revenue Committee.
If your representative serves on the House Transportation and Public Works Committee, please ask him/her for their vote in favor of SB185.
