Animal-Friendly Candidates Win in the 2026 General Election
The General Election results are in and we are excited to announce that 62 of the 63 candidates endorsed by Animal Protection Voters won their races!
Each win represents an opportunity to continue advancing pro-animal policies that protect animals and continue to build a more compassionate future for New Mexico.
These victories reflect the support of pro-animal voters across the State. Thank you to everyone who voted and helped make these wins possible.

As we look ahead to the next legislative session and the work still to come, Animal Protection Voters looks forward to working with our elected officials to advance policies that protect animals and support the communities we all share.
