Do you remember what happened in the New Mexico State Legislature last year?
Bills to stop horrific coyote killing contests statewide and to ban cruel traps and poisons on New Mexico’s public lands died an abrupt death in the House Agriculture, Water & Wildlife Committee—a newly minted legislative panel specifically designed to be a graveyard for wildlife protection bills. This outcome was especially tragic because the bill to ban coyote killing contests had already passed the State Senate.
I know you want the suffering of animals to stop.
But unless we work to elect more humane lawmakers, the House of Representatives will be an impenetrable roadblock that will obstruct these important bills, while animals will continue to suffer and die in New Mexico.
And you have the power to change that…
With your help, we can take what happened in 2015 and turn it into a victory for animals in 2017!
Please join Animal Protection Voters-PAC and a special guest for Winning for Wildlife, where you can enjoy tasty vegan appetizers and beverages while discussing vital legislation to protect New Mexico’s wildlife, including efforts to end barbaric coyote killing contests and cruel leg-hold traps and poisons.
